Former Chelsea defender Frank LeBoeuf has hailed Victor Osimhen as a “fantastic” striker. But suggested his former club should look at cheaper options.

    The Blues have been linked with a new striker this summer. With Osimhen a top option for the past year or two, with LeBoeuf suggesting the Napoli star has excellent skills. But there are other, cheaper options available UFABET 

    “I have a lot of respect for Victor Osimhen and I think he’s a great, great striker for Chelsea,” LeBoeuf said. “He’s strong, good in the air. I know he had some problems last season. But he continues to perform and is a natural finisher.”

    “Chelsea could look to Lens and Lille for cheaper strikers – they have made money selling strikers in the last decade to bring in cash, Jonathan David and Lois Openda have been excellent in the French league in recent years and are not expensive.”

    “If I was Chelsea, I would buy Eli Wahi from Lens. He’s a quality player and he’s similar to Drogba, who came from Marseille for a very cheap fee. If you look at the market right now there are not many options in the forward position. Kane is struggling in England, Morata is average in Spain, Havertz is poor and I’m not sure why Nagelsmann plays him every game.”

    “Niklas Füllkrug is another good option. He is a threat every time he plays for Germany and I know he is 31 now. But I think he would be a great addition to Chelsea and would be a good fit for English football.”
